Preamble to the Constitution of The American Legion
For God and Country, we associate ourselves together for the following purposes:  To uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America; to maintain law and order; to foster and perpetuate a one hundred per cent Americanism; to preserve the memories and incidents of our associations in the Great Wars; to inculcate a sense of individual obligation to the community, state and nation; to combat the autocracy of both the classes and the masses; to make right the master of might; to promote peace and good will on earth; to safeguard and transmit to Posterity the principles of justice, freedom and democracy; to consecrate and sanctify our comradeship by our devotion to mutual helpfulness.

About Post 44


American Legion Post 44 is a Non-Profit Veterans organization that is open to the public.  We have many different things going on but our main cause is to help our Veterans! 


We have the Legion, Auxiliary, Sons of the Legion and our Baldwin County Riders group to offer to any Veteran, son of a Veteran, wife or daughter of a Veteran.  We welcome all to join our family.  Our Auxiliary is in the process of having a Junior Auxiliary for our younger generation. 


We are open 7 days a week.  We offer free Wi-Fi, a smoke free environment, screened in smoking area outside, large dance area, game room,  food on Friday Steak night and entertainment on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings, we offer  a meeting room for private parties, meetings, receptions etc.  Our kitchen is open 7 days a week. We are in the process of offering a JUNIOR Shooting program!  Our Post is always planning activities. There is something for Veterans of all ages at Post 44!!


Our Riders group is a way for motorcycle enthusiast to ride with a group that helps Veterans!!


We invite you to come out and join us one evening and we will help you find at place of service as we serve each other and other Veterans at Post 44!!
